The Ringmaster’s Apprentice – Oz Hardwick, pub  Valley Press

This is a collection of wonderful poems, provocative and memorable. From Liverpool in the 60’s to the ringmasters apprentice Hardwick presents an array of characters and events that stay with you long after reading.  He picks up the detail and quirkiness of the everyday and presents the world through a unique prism, bringing together contrasting elements in a way that is at times both funny and poignant.   He has a memorable voice and a unerring eye for the minutiae, and in his hand the everyday becomes something special to be cherished.   (Jim Bennett, Poetry Kit)
