Northwords Now publishes writing from and about the North of
Scotland. It is published three times a year and is available
free from libraries, bookshops and other outlets throughout
Scotland. We welcome submissions of
poetry, short fiction and creative non-fiction that are
previously unpublished. If you are submitting poetry, send no
more than six
poems; single poems are unlikely to be considered for
publication. For prose submissions we tend to look for a limit
of 4,000 words.
We generally tend to seek out our own article/essay writers and
reviewers but if you have any ideas then we would be very
