Poetry Groups and Workshops

A Poetry Kit guide to poetry workshop groups, courses, critique groups, online communities and development opportunities.

Expanded October 2026 - 147 current and useful starting points.

Please check before attending. Local groups change dates, venues and organisers. This page therefore links to maintained organisations and current group directories wherever possible. Poetry Society Stanzas are independently run groups and vary in format: some workshop poems, some discuss poetry, and some include readings or open mics.
