Sarah McClelland

Liverpool. UK

Sarah McClelland. I have been a primary teacher in Liverpool for five years. For four of those years I have worked with the same year group of children, seeing them day in day out, until they were all sent home indefinitely on 20th March 2020.

Poem written on 14th April 2020.

Safeguarding

Safer working practices

A DBS, a reference, an ID check

All working from home

Protecting the vulnerable

Acceptable use of social media

Esafety within and across the curriculum

All home learning

Protecting the vulnerable

Appropriate physical contact

A side hug, a high-five, sitting together

All social distancing

Protecting the vulnerable

Disclosures to designated safeguarding leads

To think the unthinkable

All safe at home

Protecting the vulnerable

Lockdown practice

A threat: Armed and dangerous

A new meaning

Protecting the vulnerable
