Trespasser

We meet outside

a ruined church

not having spoken

for 10 years.

Between the oak door

and stone jamb, cobwebs

stretch, as if waiting

to be broken,

or

to check

if anyone unwanted

opens it.

But no one,

besides time,

has passed this way.
