'Through the Eyes of an Elderly Gal in Corona Times'

Many of us 'old's are forgotten, as we stride through our Twilight years,

We lived in times of stove pipes and Hippies wearing hula hoops in our ears.

With nuclear threats that were raging, and cults with Manson and Jones,

Our ideals of truth and beauty were enhanced by a grass we had mown.

We watched as a president died, his wife wearing a pill box hat,

His blood she wore like a medal, for us we will never forget that.

As we marched down main streets of decadence, with fluttering flags of peace,

We didn't know that in the future, we would be taming many savage beasts.

We wore flowers in our hair, to give us the power, to fight for rights that were equal,

But now we are old we see stories unfold, that are really the same just a sequel.

So when you push us aside and lock us up in our rooms, remember you too will grow old,

But try to remember that life is a wonder and we all have a beauty to behold.
